Rato roeu a roupa (famous Brazilian tongue twister)
"Nem todo splash é tinta" (not every splash is paint) is a street art project created by Anne Galante. An admirer of the aesthetics of graffiti and lacking the slightest talent for painting, she used her gift with crochet needles to fulfill her artistic dream of creating crochet artwork combined with graffiti, making the city more beautiful and colorful.
On this wall in the neighborhood of Pompéia in São Paulo, Anne applied her crochet to the design of graffiti artist Paulo Ito, who became internationally famous for creating artwork that harshly criticized FIFA during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. In this work, a boy cries of hunger when he is given a plate without any food, but with a soccer ball instead.
